I have delivered sales consultancy projects, coaching assignments and interim management support for clients within the Management Consulting, IT (software, hardware and services), Business Services and Telecoms sectors.
Some of my assignments includes:
- One-to-one coaching for a successful business owner, helping them gain clarity on personal drivers and business direction for a planned business expansion.
- Implementation of a channel sales strategy for a mobile phone manufacturer, delivering incremental volue and revuse into business customers.
- Development of channel sales strategy for a start up smartphone and tablet accessories business, and coaching/sales mentoring of managing director.
- Review and reorganization of the sales function within a management consultancy and provision of training to the consultants (who had limited prior sales experience). This delivered an immediate increase in billable project work through existing and new name clients.
- Development and implementation of a channel sales strategy for a mobile telecoms company, resulting in closer alignment to existing channel partners, recruitment of new partners, an increase in business-to-business sales volumes and higher average sale price.
- Implementation of new lead generation activities for a niche software vendor, resulting in increased pipeline size and quality, and a substantially reduced sales cycle.
- A review of the sales operations within a business services firm, including an assessment of the sales organization and individual sales skills. Provision of recommendations to the company owner to improve the effectiveness of sales activities, and assistance with the recruitment and training of new sales staff.
- Management of the formation of a start-up business unit focusing on IT security services. This included competitor benchmarking, creation of a suite of targeted consulting services, development of a sales/marketing strategy, identification of channel partners, development of sales processes and the recruitment and management of field sales, telesales and sales support teams to deliver the strategy.
- Delivery of a business turnaround project within a local charity; the review considered all aspects of business, operations, finance, procurement, marketing and sales, and was intended to reduce the reliance on government funding. Following a successful relaunch the charity became self-sustaining.
